August 12th: I fired up iWork ‘08 today after it finally came in the mail. The installation was very fast and iWork ‘08, despite being a dual binary, is a very small install compared to iWork ‘06. I especially love how Pages finally has us business users in mind by simply giving us a word processor mode instead of gearing it towards page layout. I use InDesign for page layout and Word for simple text editing. Pages finally gets it right. I’ve yet to explore Keynote and Numbers.

Anyway, I don’t plan on doing a full review since since reviewing software is extremely difficult but I will be posting tidbits that really stand out with iWork ‘08. I enjoyed a contextual menu called “writing” while in Pages ‘08. I’ve attached it below.

This software is far beyond the power of iWork ‘06 and it was $79 dollars well spent
