Google buys Odyssey, the video and photography app
Google continues to buy acquiring small start-ups that offer developments that may interest the Internet giant to improve their own services.
The last has been Odyssey, an application to perform backups of videos and personal pictures taken from mobile devices with cloud backup but also on user PCs, what the difference in classics cloud storage services.
The application that was available on iTunes and Google Play so far has been suspended although service will continue until February 23. Users can get their content in a downloadable file.
Odyssey employees will work Google+ department and it is rumored that Google will transform photos in a separate application of social network with the current cloud support and off-line mode would provide Odysee.
Storage on the PC not to lose anything of quality images and video using the cloud as a midpoint, with synchronization between devices, share with third parties and increasing the security of the most popular content. We will see what emerges from this purchase.
