From our Upcoming.org page: Thanks for viewing the third annual tour of San Francisco hosted by DailyTechTalk.com. Starting in 2005, the SF city tour is perfect for Macworld Expo attendees that arrive on Sunday and are new to the city or just wanna get out of the hotel room and meet some very interesting people!

We usually have a crowd of at about 20 people. Wear proper shoes and plan to do some walking, as we make our way through the city on foot. We will take the longest journey to the Fishermans wharf via cable car.

I have a Schedule and Google Earth map below. (All times are PM)

2:15: Powel St. for cable car tickets
2:30: Union Square
3:15: Cable car to Fishermans Wharf
5:00: Coit Tower for spectacular view of the city ($5 admission)
6:00: Cable car back to Union Square and walk down to South of Market
6:15: Starbucks coffee for some revitalized energy
6:30: Walk around Moscone Center area
6:45: Inside the Sony metreon for a tour of the area

Monday, January 8th
MUG User Group University

Ill be attending the User Group University for the fourth year. Its a great chance to meet very interesting people with some free food and giveaways. This year, Steve Woz will be the keynote speaker with David Pogue and Christopher Breen. Ill have some photos from that event for you all.

Tuesday, January 9th
2nd annual Pre-Keynote meet-up

From our Upcoming.org page
Every Mac user that travels to Macworld and attends the Steve Jobs keynote is usually alone. They start arriving at 12AM and sit alone with iPod earphones in the cold and usually rainy climate just for a chance to sit a few hundred yards away as Steve delivers his keynote broadcast to the world.

I devices the pre-keynote meetup in 2005 to help you and your boredom toward the event. Heres the plan.

We all meet at 4AM at the Apple Store on Stockton St., have some conversation and snap some photos commemorating the event (cause nothing sucks more than saying you were at Macworld and you dont have one photo of yourself). From there, we walk over to the keynote line at Moscone center and now youve met some interesting people to make the time in line a lot easier to handle. There might even be some coffee and doughnuts for you lucky guys.

Last year, http://upcoming.org/event/46513/ , we had 10 individuals show up outside of the Apple Store at 4AM. After we each took some photos of this memorable event we walked down to the Moscone center and were probably 45th in line for the keynote.

Heres the schedule
4AM: Apple Store @ Stockton St
4:30: Walk to Moscone to get in line and prepare for the Stevenote
5:30: I hope to have a ride to help me go get some doughnuts and coffee for the tired and shivering masses

Wednesday, January 10th
Spymac.com Annual Reader Meet-up

From our Upcoming.org Page: This is the 1st Annual Spymac member meetup. If you are a Spymac member in San Francisco or are attending Macworld, youre invited to chill with us at the Sony Metreon. Well meet outside of the Moscone South Entrance at 5:30PM (Ill be wearing a spymac shirt) and well walk over the the metreon for an early dinner / snack.

There are a few dining options and Ill leave that up to the group.

Please RSVP here or jus show up! My real name is Adam Jacckson and this is another event sponsored by DailyTechTalk.com and co-sponsored by Spymac.com

By the way, all attendees will get a metal Spymac logo pin to put on their jackets or hats while supplies last and I cant guarantee everyone will get a pin.[i]

Macworld closeout meetup:

I host this event every year to a generally small turnout. Most people have left town or are getting on planes to head home. Usually a couple of readers, my staff and sponsors meetup for some drinks and quality time before we leave. Here's the skinny. 10:00PM @ The Redwood Room (in the clift hotel) 495 Geary St. We will hang out until about Midnight. The Redwood Room is extremely busy on Friday night so wear your Macworld badge or a DTT shirt and we'll have a table reserved in the main lobby right before you enter the bar.
