Twitterholic update

Today is May 2nd so I wanted to discuss my twittering since I've been doing it just over a month. I signed up for Twitter back in November but didn't really get into it. I'm regretting that I did not stick it out and kept twittering because after Macworld then SWSW, Twitter really picked up and now I'm busy playing catch up.

I officially started twittering and telling people that I was twittering on March 21st at 4PM. You can see my first post here. I became away of a site called twitterholic which kept a rank of the top Twitterers and I longed to be on that list. However, it went beyond the list and Twitter has become a great past time for me. It's great to tell the world "what you're doing" and it's helped me a few times with meeting new people, buying / selling goods and having people walk up to me and say, "I saw you on twitter and heard you'd be here".

I think it's interesting but I usually gain 3 followers and lose one of them with a direct message saying, "you twitter way too much and should slow it down." My Twittering is just thoughts that appear randomly and I love it! So anyway, I'm going to apologize again to those who are getting SMS alerts from my twittering. I really wish that twitter allowed you to not receive alerts from specific people but you could still follow them through the web.

The final tidbit is that after just 40 days +/- I have hit 1000 twitters. I have went to the site, typed a random thought and hit submit 1000 times in 40 days which is only an average of 25 per day but I feel it's the highest frequency of twitters from a real person (not those bots like the BBC has).
