The online Mac2Sell service, aims to offer users an accurate estimate of the true secondhand value of their Macs. It offers accurate estimates of Mac prices for 23 countries, including the UK and US, and the website operates in nine langauges.

Users simply need to input the make, processor speed, memory, hard drive and screen size of any Mac, and the site will generate a guide price. The service has been developed by French language Mac website, MacPlus.

MacPlus say - "We wish to provide every web surfer in many countries, a free and easy-to-use service so that they can evaluate the price of a used Mac," said C�dric M�riau, president of MacPlus.net. "The used Mac market is very healthy and the creation of such a price reference may contribute to its expansion."

Sam Downie (DTT UK correspondent) says "I will soon be using this service, as at last I am selling my Apple G4 PowerBook 12".. Using Mac2Sell will help me find the right price for selling this computer.."

[update] well once I had posted this report, I did just that.. and here's my results:

Ive been wanting to buy an old imac just because they're cool looking but i really dont need another computer.
