iPhone Launch Gear
I've already received a few emails asking what I gathered to prepare for the iPhone launch. Actually, you should keep in mind that these are standard issue items for most Apple events.
- Folding chair that fits in a should style carrying case
- One energy drink and one water for every hour that you're out.
- EVDO Cellular card for your notebook
- iPod with custom playlists of your favorite music (changing tracks wastes battery)
- Shure E500 earphones. This is a vanity item but they sound awesome!
- Cell Phone (preferably a phone like a Treo or Blackberry so you can send and receive emails and pictures to your Flickr account
- 100 foot extension cord with a six outlet power strip. All of the people in line around you with be so thankful that you've got a power source when their notebooks and cell phones begin to die
- Sleeping bag or tent with a comfy pillow
- At least three DVD movies that you love. I picked Lord of the Rings and Star Wars
- A digital camera with two sets of batteries and don't forget your USB cable
- An ? t-shirt and an ? hat
That covers it. You can leave every few hours to pickup food. Did I miss anything? Other things like MacBook and Cell phone chargers are understood to be with you. Oh and bring chips or cookies for snacking. FYI, my klondike bar already melted. Stupid Florida heat.
