iMovie '08 kills third party developers

I am installing iLife '08 and saw that iMovie '08 does not support themes or plug-ins from third parties. The first person that came to mind was "GeeThree" and their line of "Slick PlugIns for iMovie". I went to their site and saw a link that mention iMovie '08. Here's the text that followed.

iMovie '08 is a complete rewrite of Apple's movie editing sofware and offers a new model for creating movies. It sports a new look and provides a fast and easy way create a basic video quickly. Unfortunately, this new version does not support plug-ins such as the Slick software.

For your video projects that involve more than a standard dissolve transition, iMovie 6 lives on!

So they're saying to just use iMovie '06 for now. Gee, that sux!
