I called the Regent Street store yesterday (Saturday 15th) to ask if they had it and the guy said...
"Yes, we did, but it sold out in 3 hours"!
Not bad I thought! - wow Logic Studio has become one of the top sellers.. already!
Anyway, I ordered it online on Friday from the Apple Store UK and its already shipping to me, and will have arrived by Monday (tomorrow as I write).
Well done Apple Inc, on producing yet another top product! - and hell yeah, it's well worth the upgrade!
So, what are you missing out on? For a start, at the heart of the collection is Logic Pro 8, an update to Apple's professional audio application. A new live performance app called MainStage is also included. MainStage aims to turn your Mac into a streamlined live rig. Also included is Apple's Soundtrack Pro 2 application, used to bridge audio to film and video applications; Studio Instruments, made up of 40 pristine quality instruments; Studio Effects, with 80 professional effect plug-ins; a vast Studio Sound Library; and a powerful set of production utilities.
According to Apple, Logic Studio offers a comprehensive suite of professional tools for musicians who need to create, produce and perform in the studio and on the stage.
Logic Pro 8 is described as a major upgrade that combines an intuitive new interface with Logic�s renowned sound quality and rock-solid timing.
Apple has also announced a cheaper entry-level audio application called Logic Express 8.

New audio production tools such as Quick Swipe Comping and dynamic channel strip creation speed up common tasks. Logic Pro 8 also includes end-to-end surround production capabilities with innovative surround panning controls, multichannel tracks and busses, and support for True Surround software instruments and effects.
Logic Studio will cost �319 (UK). Logic Express 8 will cost $199 in the US.
