I started my Macworld experience at MW 2003, in New York.. the last ever MW Conference & Expo to be held in New York, it was called 'Creative Pro', before the move to Boston.

Then in January 2004, I made my first visit to San Francisco, where I made contact with the Inside Mac Team, on the www.macupdate.com booth. Of course at this MW, I got hooked on the keynote by Steve Jobs, and loved every minute of it! and wanted more.. so I've been coming back for more, as I loved the atmosphere of the build up to the keynote.

Just after MW 2004 had finished, I got invited to attend as a Speaker at the 1st summer MW, to be held back again, in Boston, Mass (East coast USA) at the new conference and expo centre, where I did a audio session called 'Music on the Mac', which went down very well.

In January '05, I was invited back once again to SF for Macworld 2005, where I was a daily speaker at the conference, on stage in the expo hall with the team of Inside Mac Radio. I sat alongside tech commentators Laura Burstein ( www.lauraburstein.com ), Ken Ray ( www.macosken.com ), Sam Levin ( www.samlevin.com ), Desmond Crisis ( www.desmondcrisis.com ) and of course Scott ( www.insidemacradio.com ).

We interviewed a great bunch of celebrity mac users and experts, including Chris Breen (from Macworld Magazine), Will Wheaton (yes him from Star Trek TNG!.. he's now a wonderful writer and blogger), Harvey (from Brenthaven bags ( www.brenthaven.com/where-is-harvey.html ) and Macboy. Macboy did a great animation piss-take of the 1984 advert from Apple, which was used to introduce New York Times Tech writer David Pogue.

And listen to the interview I did with Macboy, at Macworld 2008, at my Tech:Casts site at:

I also joined the team of Inside Mac Radio, at one of the best Macworld party's, where I DJed all night to a packed club! http://lists.apple.com/archives/augd/2005/Jan/msg00014.html

also check out the party list here > http://www.ilenesmachine.com/macworld/sf05/partylist.shtml

I hope to come and DJ again in SF, during Macworld 08 ! - gonna be fun.. good tunes.. good times!
(venue not sorted out.. yet!)

The 2005 Macworld C&E; was a 'hoot' for me... but then came 2006.

January 2006, and I'm back in SF wondering what to do... but, luckily since November '05, I got in touch with Adam Jackson from www.mypersonalgetaway.com (that url is now know as www.dailytechtalk.com) Adam gave me a few pointers about his MW 06 plans. So, one of the first places I met Adam, was outside the Apple Store (1 Stockton St, SF) at 4am !! on the Tuesday morning of the Apple keynote by sir Steve Jobs. There we hooked up with a few more other users and Mac fans, took a few photos.. and then we walked the short walk over to the Moscone Conference centre.

Once in line for the keynote, we started to talk Mac, whilst trying not to freeze, and to wake up. 5am came and we went to get coffee and doughnuts. Then at 6am, the doors opened and we went in side and followed the massive crowd to the keynote. The line stopped for another 2hours inside, where we chilled.. then at 8.30am, the line got busy... and everyone started to run.. or walk very fast towards the ballroom where the keynote was held. There, Adam and I took our seats...

"Sam was sitting next to me during the keynote when iLife 06 and the first Intel Macs were introduced." - Adam Jackson

Once the keynote was over, we went our separate ways.. :( and lost contact a bit..

But at Macworld 2008, I hope to be doing a lot more coverage for DailyTechTalk.
