iPod Audio Recording Compatibility
I couldn't find any authority that was mentioning the compatability of audio recording hardware for the iPod and how it interfaces with the new iPod nano and iPod classic. I brought my XtremeMac MicroMemo voice recorder with me to BlogOrlando today and was just going to take a chance with recording on my new iPod classic and it worked great!
When you plugin the recorder, the iPod's home screen has a new option for voice recording. Select that, put the quality on low or high and hit record. The window for recording is much improved. I wish that I could record while I navigate the OS but once you're recording, hitting the menu key takes you up a level and the record option changed to a resume option. Either way, sites like XtremeMac don't list compatability with the new iPod but I can attest that it works great!
