4:37AM. We're Getting Close
It's half past 4AM here on the west coast. We're approaching 12 hours in line. I'm actually number 6. Laura is number 7, Liana is 8 and Nick is 9 (whether he likes it or not). It's been an interesting evening. I've had some runins with bums. It appears bums were paid to hold places in line and boy are they mean. They're sitting with us for hours rambling and then every hour, they are reminded and ask us for money. It's uncomfortable as hell.
I've met some developers, fanboys and there have been 4 Apple employees in total that have walked by and taken photos of the Apple Store with 3G iPhones. I asked to hold one and they said they couldn't let me hold it.
Oddly enough, there is an AT&T; store across the street with iPhones on display for sale tomorrow but there is only 1 guy over there in line. Actually, it's kind of funny. If you don't get to the stores until 7AM, just go to an AT&T; store because there won't be a line.
We've eaten pizza, had doughnuts and I'm running off Red Bull and trail mix at this point. There aren't any power outlets here and no bloggers decided to conserve their battery which I find totally hilarious. I'm the last guy with a laptop that has a charge left.
I probably won't be posting again until tomorrow. My brand new 2.6Ghz MacBook Pro from Apple, 4Gbs of ram from Crucial and pair that with the fact that we have two new iPhones in the house so I can assure you that I have an entire day of internal technical work around the house to keep me busy.
Now, I'm going to go grab another doughnut and talk to geeks about Steve Jobs' awesomeness.
