Mozy Backup for Mac

At our company backups are extremely important to our clients. The main form of backup is disk drive to tape via Symantec Backup Exec from our Windows 2003 servers. We also use Acronis image software that creates an image of the server and places it on an external drive every night as well. Finally, some clients use MozyPro for their offsite backups. This service gives them about 50gbs of storage and incrementally backs up changed files every hour from specific directories that can't afford to be lost. Mozy rocks and we use it here at the office for our desktops as well.

Today, Mozy announced backup for Mac. It was just last week I sent them an email asking for a Macintosh client and today they've announced the product. It's super cheap and even if you're backing up now, this is a great alternative or a perfect secondary source. You can backup incrementally and restore up to 30 days back in time. If you lose everything, a DVD of your content can be sent to you through the mail. Check it out.
