Memorex iPod Speaker System
From Terry Mele...
The Memorex CD Player/iPod Clock Radio is a really neat idea, in my opinion.
It is for the most part, a clock radio with an iPod Dock and a CD Player built right in.
Included, as with traditional iPod audio systems, is a remote for basic iPod functions and it also controls the built in CD player and radio. I found that the remote control sensor is picky about exactly where the remote signal is coming from. You have to aim it dead on center in order for the unit to respond to the remote.

As for the CD player, it works well and plays traditional and burned CDs. It has a repeat and shuffle mode as well. Also, I should note that when the unit is turned on, it poduces a blue glow on the bottom and top which can be disturbing if you are trying to sleep. I found no way of dimming it, changing its colors or turning it off.
The iPod Dock is not too well designed because the plastic piece in front of the tray does not support the iPod, which is not good if it were to get bumped. But, included are inserts for the 4th and 5th generation iPod models.
The sound quality was okay, but not great. The subwoofer tended to crackle at times when the iPod was playing music.
Otherwise, this is a great Budget-priced iPod system.
